The truth is, I never started this blog with a big strategy or a content plan. I didn’t sit down and map out hundreds of posts or think about what it could become. I just started writing.

It Started With a Simple Desire: Don’t Forget This

When you live a life like ours—constantly moving, constantly experiencing new places, new people, new versions of “normal”—something unexpected happens: Time blurs. The days are full, but they move fast. One country blends into another. One experience replaces the next. And without something to anchor those moments, it would be so easy to lose them.

This blog became that anchor. It’s not about perfect writing or perfectly curated moments. It’s about remembering what it felt like to be there—who we were in that season, what our kids were like at that age, what made us laugh, what challenged us. Because I know one day, maybe we’ll want to look back and see it all clearly again.

This blog is our time capsule.

More than anything, this blog is for our family. It’s for the version of us that will exist years from now—the one that will struggle to remember the small details:

The way the kids reacted to their first time in a new country

The little routines we built in unfamiliar places

The funny, hard, beautiful, messy moments in between the “big” adventures

Photos are great. But words? Words bring it all back to life.

And Also… It’s for You

I write this blog for us, but somewhere along the way, a few people started reading. When I sit down to write, I’m not just capturing memories, I’m also inviting you into them. I hope when you read our stories, you feel like you’re traveling alongside us—even just for a few minutes. I hope you see places you’ve never been, or maybe feel inspired to take a trip of your own.

It’s Not About Perfection—It’s About Showing Up

Not every post is profound. Not every story is extraordinary. Sometimes it’s just a normal day in a new place. Sometimes it’s a reflection. Sometimes it’s messy and unfiltered. But I keep writing anyway. Because this isn’t about creating something perfect—it’s about showing up consistently for our story. And 350+ posts later, that consistency has turned into something I’m incredibly grateful for.

Why I’ll Keep Going

I don’t know what number we’ll end on. Maybe 400. Maybe 500. Maybe more. But I do know this: As long as we’re living this life, I want to keep documenting it. For Michael and I. For Lucas and Henry. And for you, if you enjoy following along. Because one day, this chapter will look different. We won’t always be in this exact season of life, moving the way we are now. And when that day comes, we’ll have this.

Every story. Every place. Every memory—captured, preserved, and waiting for us to revisit. To the readers of this blog, I hope you’ve enjoyed watching our adventures as much as I’ve enjoyed living (and writing) them.

Somewhere along the way—between airports, new cities, and the rhythm of life on the road—I crossed a milestone I never really set out to reach: 350+ blog posts.
