We are taking advantage of the beautiful weather, and of having a car by going to the beach often. We have explored beaches north and south of San Juan Del Sur. The beaches in Nicaragua are practically empty. Today we visited Playa Maderas again and saw less than 10 people on the beach and a handful of surfers in the water in the two and a half hours we were there. All of those people were at least 50 yards away from us.<\/p>\n

The beaches are not commercialized like back in the States and it is wonderful. You will not find rows of beach chairs that block the breeze. You won’t hear loud music or see traffic zooming by. There are no big highrises that ruin the view.\u00a0 It is our paradise.<\/p>\n

We met a family in our neighborhood with a son Lucas’ age.\u00a0 Lucas and Henry are having a blast hanging out with someone other than each other for the first time in over three months. They play Minecraft, go to the pool, run around with walkie talkies, and go to the beach.<\/p>\n
