Our experience in Krabi is much like our experience in Panglao, Philippines – there are days when it is\u00a0<\/span>amazing<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>days<\/span>\u00a0when it is not.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We had surprises when we arrived at our accommodation in Krabi<\/span>. We<\/span>\u00a0found out that the person who organized housing for the group was not upfront about many things<\/span>. The<\/span>\u00a0two areas where the families are staying are not close to each other or anything in Krabi<\/span>. Grab<\/span>\u00a0is\u00a0<\/span>not reliable<\/span>, so getting around town without a vehicle is\u00a0<\/span>hard<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We thought we had a weekly cleaning, but\u00a0<\/span>did<\/span>\u00a0not<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>The<\/span>\u00a0property office wanted to charge us $30 for<\/span>\u00a0a\u00a0<\/span>fresh\u00a0<\/span>set of<\/span>\u00a0sheets each week<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The<\/span>\u00a0house has mold and flooded electrical that shorts frequently<\/span>. One<\/span>\u00a0of the doors to a bedroom barely opened<\/span>. The<\/span>\u00a0property office was not responsive<\/span>. We<\/span>\u00a0paid for weekly pool cleaning (which was required)\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0the pool cleaner only came once<\/span>. The<\/span>\u00a0property tried to charge us more than double for electricity usage and changed out many people’s meters during the stay<\/span>. It<\/span>\u00a0felt dishonest and put a sour taste in our mouths.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the issues with the accommodation, we were over the moon to\u00a0<\/span>be living<\/span>\u00a0with the Sigstons again<\/span>. We<\/span>\u00a0are great roommates<\/span>. Vicki<\/span>\u00a0and I take turns cooking<\/span>. The<\/span>\u00a0boys get along well<\/span>. It<\/span>\u00a0was a blast<\/span>. The<\/span>\u00a0bad things help you appreciate the good\u00a0<\/span>things<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0there were many good things this week. \"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

Our family reunited for our second week in Krabi<\/span>. Lucas<\/span>\u00a0jumped right into the Forever Wild hub<\/span>. He<\/span>\u00a0attended a philosophy club for teens hosted by one of the dads and\u00a0joined the teens in their D&D campaign<\/span>. Chloe<\/span>\u00a0gave Henry and me much-needed haircuts<\/span>. Lucas<\/span>\u00a0and Henry continued their Muay Thai lessons<\/span>. Michael<\/span>\u00a0joined a gym for the month we were here in Krabi.<\/span><\/p>\n
