\n\t\t\t\tLucas hopes he has this much hair when he is old\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\nAlso, once we are able to leave, where do we go? Much of the world will probably be closed to travelers for a while. Going back to the United States may seem like the logical thing to do, but is it? We do not have a home in the United States. Our world health insurance only covers us in the US for a limited amount of time to keep the cost reasonable. The cost of living in the United States is much more expensive than living or traveling abroad in the places we had planned to travel.\u00a0\u00a0We would love to see family again, but will we be able to do that if we go back? To be honest, we do not think the United States is the safest place to be in the world right now.\u00a0 Nicaragua is not either, but it is cheaper to live here.<\/p>\n
Sometimes we want to stamp our feet down and yell: \u201cthis isn\u2019t fair!\u201d But who says life is fair? Life is also not predictable. First we were delayed by cancer, now we are delayed by a pandemic.\u00a0\u00a0Life has not gone how we planned, but all we can do is continue to move forward. We could wallow in sadness or stew in anger (some days those feel like the right choice), but that will not do any good.<\/p>\n
We have to make lemonade out of dog poop and you know what? We are confident that we can do it.\u00a0\u00a0Maybe we will call it POOdleade.<\/p>\n
We are firm believers that life is more fulfilling when you have to overcome obstacles in order to archive your goals. We have some big obstacles ahead of us, but that will make our journey more rewarding.\u00a0 We always joke that there is never a dull moment in our house.\u00a0 On a day to day basis these days we have many dull moments, but if you look at the bigger picture, the trajectory of our lives is a giant question mark and that prospect is anything but dull.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
