Worldschool Reunion in Michigan

In January this year, we met a fabulous group of worldschooling families in Ecuador. These are our people, and we were excited to reunite with them over the summer.

The McIntyre’s drove their RV from California to Kentucky. We hung out for a two days in Kentucky before caravanning with them and the Lesmeisters up to Lake Charlevoix to see the Hansens.

A mini reunion before Michigan.

Slip and Slides are so much fun!

The Hansens were gracious hosts. They have a beautiful property on Lake Charlevoix with kayaks, a water trampoline, a regular trampoline, paddle boards, jet skis, and a pontoon boat.

Beautiful lake sunset.

How all the cool kids get from the house to the lake.

There were ten kids, eight adults, and countless hours of laughing and playing. The kids were outside all day swimming in the lake, playing kickball and baseball, and jumping on the trampoline. We went tubing down the Boyne River, saw a parade and the northern lights!

The water is cold, but they don’t care.
Boat life!
Henry wanted to tube all day!
The kids don’t have all the fun.

It was a great trip for the soul. COVID made it hard for us to meet other families for so long. We are excited to have met families that we know we will continue to see around the world.
