After spending a month in Arizona, it was time to head back East and prepare for our next adventure. We raced across the country driving from Phoenix to Atlanta in two days. Our second day was a 17-hour haul. It sure would be nice if Lucas were old enough to drive. It’s not too far off!
We had lunch with my mom and met with our friend Denise. We got to see my brother Brian’s house, and Henry got to have a sleepover with his cousins. We stayed in Atlanta with Emily, Jonathan, Milo, and Lyla. Toddlers sure do have a lot of energy. We had a great time hanging out with them and, of course, Josie and Dexter. We also got a parent’s night out when Lucas offered to babysit.
After Atlanta, we headed to Winston-Salem to see my dad and Kay and finalize our packing. Our next adventure awaits! We do miss our family and friends when we are traveling. We cherish the time we have with them.
