We enjoyed our time in Budva. It was relaxing, and the weather warmed up as the month went on.
A large group of us took a two-hour hike along the coast from Budva to Sveti Stefan. It is a small resort town home to a five-star resort. The resort was not open, but we had a lovely lunch by the sea.
We also took a day trip to Kotor. Kotor is another popular tourist town in Montenegro. Many cruise ships and tours stop there. We met up with our friends Christopher, Jana, and Catherine, whom we met last year in Malaysia. We love catching up with our worldschooling friends. Kotor is a stunning town surrounded by mountains.
We celebrated a milestone birthday of our friend Sharla. We took a lovely boat ride along the coast of Budva.
Our days in Budva were filled with visits to cafes and parks. Lucas and Henry stayed busy playing D&D and doing calisthenics. Lucas ran with friends. The boys also had a poker night (now we travel with poker chips). We spent Easter Sunday listening to Jake and Gabe play at a Bar in Becici (the next town over). They find open mic and other performance opportunities in every city they go to. We love supporting them.
We reunited with our friends Jill and Declan after several months apart. It always fills our hearts when we see our friends. Jill and Declan joined us on a trip to Cetinje. I enjoyed visiting the city so much that I brought some moms and kids back to explore together.
We had a full month in Budva with our traveling family. Thanks, Budva!
