Horseback riding is an activity we never thought about for Lucas and Henry. Lucas and Henry have never expressed interest in it. We have not done any organized activities since March. We came across an opportunity for horseback riding lessons at Big Sky Ranch in San Juan Del Sur (https://www.bigskyranchnicaragua.com/). We decided to give it a try and the boys love it.
It was great to get up in the morning and have an activity to go to. There were 4 other kids in the group. Everyone wore masks when in close proximity and washed hands (except the horses).
The lessons are an hour long. The kids brush the horses, help put on the saddle, and then get to ride around the property.
The ranch is also home to kittens that melted our hearts.
Animals have a positive effect on Lucas and Henry. It seems that being around animals stimulates endorphin production. It makes them happy. Lucas and Henry are signed up for the next five weeks. We are excited to have this weekly organized activity.
