Our Last Days in Bangkok

Our time in Southeast Asia was incredible, but there is so much more of the world to see. We spent our last days in Bangkok wrapping up Lucas’ Invisalign, seeing friends, and eating our favorite foods before returning to the United States.

Lucas started his Invisalign journey in October of 2023. After 13 months, his treatment is complete and he loves his new smile. When we first started traveling, orthodontics was one of the things we were not sure how we would complete. It worked well to have Lucas’ treatments in Bangkok and return every few months for checkups. Doing Invisalign over metal braces made the process much easier. Lucas did a great job of remembering to wear and change his trays.

We saw our friends JB, Anna, Emmy, and Tyler in Bangkok. We first met them in 2018 at a worldschool summit in Mexico. Our paths cross every once in a while, and we have a great time when we see them. We met up with them for go-karting and video games and some pool time at their hotel.

We had a call with several of our other worldschooling friends who are busy exploring different parts of the world. We are planning to see them all again soon. They boys got hair cuts at Jimmy Barber and finally cut all of the bleached hair out. Michael and I did another fully-body check up in Bangkok and we are both healthy. Michael’s cholesterol even went down significantly.

Henry and I started our trip across the Pacific Ocean twelve hours before Lucas and Henry. Our travel plans differed because we used airline miles to get home, and flight options were limited. We all went from Bangkok to Singapore, Singapore to San Francisco. Henry and I had a 7-hour layover during the day in Singapore. Michael and Lucas had their layover overnight. Our travels went smoothly.

Until next time South East Asia!
