Most people probably think we live an exotic life because we travel, but it is often a pretty normal life with school, work, chores, and grocery shopping.
Lucas and Henry are winding down their semester at the Montana Hybrid Academy. They have made great friends and had a lot of fun learning. One of their favorite projects was making crystals. They used borax and alum power to create beautiful crystals that look like you could find them in a cave. It wasn’t without a few hiccups. We broke a beaker and had some trouble keeping the crystals from sticking to the sides of the container we made them in. Lucas and Henry were both still engaged and excited about it despite the challenges.
They are finishing up their self-directed projects. They have been working on them during the semester. Lucas learned about and built drones. Henry created a zany board game that is like chutes and ladders, but with a wheel to spin, challenge cards, and dance breaks.
Lucas and Henry also said goodbye for now to their hair. We love their long hair, but they do not take care of it. Also, it was starting to look a little suspect after a few of my supermom haircuts. We convinced them to start anew. Lucas took it a little harder than Henry, but I think they are both happy with the results. Their hair will probably be long against by this time next year.
Lucas and Henry are getting older, but they still enjoy the occasional bath time, if there are tons of bubbles.
We still cannot seem to get over seeing deer almost every day outside our house. It’s the little things that make us smile. We are still waiting to spot a bear.
We do make sure to add plenty of adventure into our lives, but we also enjoy the quiet moments and a little routine. . . just not too many quiet moments or too much routine.
