Remembering Lois

It has been a year since my step mother Lois passed away. It seems recent and a long time ago all at the same time. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. Songs remind me of her. Washing the dishes and folding laundry reminds me of her. Hugging Lucas and Henry reminds me of her. Talking to my dad and sister reminds me of her. Holding my nephew Milo, who was named after her, reminds me of her. She is such a big part of who I am and she is still with me every day. I learned so much from Lois about being kind and generous and about being a mom.

Here is a link to the post from last year about saying Goodbye to one of the most important persons in my life Saying Goodbye – Gowatkinsgo

We love you, Lois.
