Kuala Lumpur, Week Four

Our last week of the Forever Wild Kuala Lumpur hub was bittersweet. We had a great week, but at the end of the week, we had to say, “See you again in the world” to some of our favorite worldschooling friends. Some we will see sooner rather than later, but we never like parting ways.

This was our third hub with Forever Wild. The new families that joined us have great energy. Everyone is positive and willing to go with the flow. Lucas and Henry are thriving in the enrichment program. Lucas did a great job as a teen leader this month. The program runs so well when the children and the parents participate and give their time and talents to the community. Amanda and Solomon have worked hard to create a unique program that instills the kids with confidence and creativity.

The week started with a trip for the kids to Kidzania. A place where kids get to role-play as pilots, surgeons, firefighters, chefs, magicians, and more. The kids also went to the planetarium and the park. The week was capped off with a performance by the kids to show off their skills. There was singing and break-dancing and lots of fun had by all.

Vicky, Renee, and I went to Kuan Yin Temple and ate a hardy vegan meal for $3. Friday some of us went ice skating. Saturday was Malaysian Independence Day. We went to a mall full of exhibits and crafts. The kids made bear key chains. We had end-of-session group dinners and Jake and Gabe got to do an open mic night. Michael and Lucas flew to Bangkok for the weekend for an Invisalign checkup and pickleball.

Our time in Kuala Lumpur is almost up. Time flies when you are having fun.
