Coming back to the states with COVID is strange. Not being able to hug family and friends for 14 days is hard. Our visit with grandma Miriam was nice but different.
After visiting with family and friends, we headed up to North Georgia to spend part of our quarantine in the mountains. Going to the mountains was a great way to ease back into being back in the states. Atlanta is a lot to take in after spending six months in a small beach town in Nicaragua.
The cabin where we stayed was quiet and peaceful. We played board games, the boys wrestled, went swimming in a lake, played pool, cooked, hiked, and built a fire. Michael and I also celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary.
After week one, we all feel good. We have one more week of quarantine before we move on. We will be pet sitting at Judy’s sister Emily’s house in Atlanta. We will take that opportunity to go through some of the things we left at Emily’s house and prepare our bags for our next adventure.
