When life gives you COVID, Golf

We are spending several weeks in North Carolina. We are not traveling, but we are finding plenty to do. We cannot fit golf clubs in our backpacks, so the boys are excited to have the opportunity to play golf. They are learning the art of golf from their grandpa and from Michael. They are sharpening their skills at the driving range and on a par 3 course in hopes of playing the big links someday soon.

PE class is chipping practice on in a field by grandpma’s and grandpa’s house.

Since we are nomadic now, the boys do not have organized sports, but that does not mean they are not able to play sports. We play basketball, baseball, ping pong, soccer, frisbee and more. The boys can spend as much time as they want practicing free throws, curveballs or chipping.

This is one thing we love about being nomadic and having a flexible schedule. We get outside a lot more than we used to. Somedays “PE” last 2-4 hours or longer!

We see the benefits from this shift in our lifestyle from sedintary to more active. We all have more energy. Michael and I have lost weight and we do not get the headaches and back pain that we did when we were in an office sitting at a computer 8 hours a day. Our moods are all better too. The sharp increase in fresh air and exercise have been two of the biggest positives for our health (mental and physical) since we started this journey.
