Denver, Colorado

Last week we headed to Denver to pick up our car. A shuttle bus hit our car while we were in Breckenridge. We had to get a rental car for two weeks while it was being fixed. Dealing with that was difficult, but Michael did a great job of figuring it all out.  We are happy to have our car back.

Transferring our things from the rental back to our car is like playing Tetris.

We spent the weekend visiting our froomate (friend and roommate) Emily, her husband Chuck, and their three loveable dogs Pearl, Little Guy, and Cheeto.  Emily lived with us for two years in Atlanta a long time ago. It was great to see her and catch up.

We spent the day hiking at Dinosaur Ridge. The mountains surrounding Denver are breathtaking. It was a chilly afternoon, but the sun was shining and we were outside. We had a great time.

Even the Dinosaurs are taking COVID precautions.
Rock, paper, scissors for who has to pick up Pearl’s poop.
Cheeto is such a cheeseball!
Father-son bonding
Wide-open spaces
A super cool motely crew

Chuck and Emily have a Porsche. The boys got to take a spin in it.

Hot Wheels come to life!
If you look closely you can see Henry.
Lucas looks like a natural behind the wheel.
We wouldn’t actually let the boys drive.
The excitement was too much for Lucas and Henry

We also made a stop at Red Rock Amphitheater. No shows now during COVID, but it was cool to check it out.

Denver is a cool city. There is something for everyone in the melting pot. It is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The weather is great too. Lots of sunshine all year round.
