Week 2 in Ubud, Bali

Our second week in Ubud was jam-packed. The kids had hub Monday through Thursday with their after-hub activities (book club, art club, swimming, etc.).

Michael and Lucas spent a lot of time playing Padel. I went for a spa day where I got a body scrub, a body mask, and a one-hour reflexology massage. We also went into town see the Ubud Palace and walk around.

Michael, Lucas, and Henry rode ATVs with other dads and teens. The food in Ubud gets better and better. On Friday afternoon, Lucas, Michael and some other parents went to an orphanage to lead a rugby practice.  They did not play too much rugby, but they did end up playing a lot of games and had a great time.

We had a mom’s dinner and a day out to the Pyramids of Chi to participate in an ancient sound healing ritual. Some people think that sound triggers a natural healing process. According to the healers at the Pyramid of Chi, the sound waves interact both with the water in our bodies, with our DNA as well as our chakra system aiding the intelligence of our bodies to feel, heal, relax & release. It was an intense experience. The restaurant at Pyramids of Chi is vegan, and we had another incredible meal after the sound healing. Vegan peanut butter chocolate cheesecake? Yes, please! The dads also went out to play pool and we got together for parent roundtables, card games, and group dinners.
