Seminyak, Bali

We said so long for now to our worldschooling friends and goodbye to our villa in Tejakulah and took a bus with Sam and AC to Seminyak. Seminyak is a touristy beach town on the west coast of Bali.

Our Airbnb was an interesting three-bedroom house with a swimming pool the entire length of the house and the pool goes up to the door of each room. It is only a 7-minute walk to the beach and near restaurants, so it was perfect for a few days.

The beach in Seminyak is beautiful. It is a lot like the beach in Da Nang. There are places to rent chairs and there are fancy clubs and hotels where you can get day passes. We opted for the chairs on the beach.
On our last day in Bali, we rented boogie boards and had a blast. The conditions were a bit tough, but that made it fun.

We spent one day at Waterbom, a small water park 30 minutes south of Seminyak. It was not our favorite water park, but we had fun. We spent a full day there and never waited more than 4 minutes for a ride.

The food in Seminyak is great. We found a delicious vegan restaurant that we went to twice. The non-vegans enjoyed it. Michael’s high school friend Jeremy who lives in Bali came out to dinner with us. Michael enjoyed catching up with an old friend.

Staying in Seminyak was a nice way to end our time in Bali. We were glad to spend the time with my brother and AC.
