We were going to stay in North Carolina for two weeks. It has now been 2.5 months. We will be staying here at least through the end of the year. We have stopped trying to make any sort of travel plans. We are still helping my dad and stepmom. Also, COVID is so bad right now that travel for us is not an option for us.
We are lucky to be at my parents’ house. We have a lot of space. We are able to get outside to run around and play tennis and frisbee. The kids are playing Minecraft online with their friends and cousins. We have settled into a routine with school.
We got to be with my parents and my brother and his kids on Thanksgiving. It was lovely and the food was/is delicious. We will be eating leftovers for a while.
For the rest of 2020, we will be cherishing our family time with my parents, sister, brothers, and the kids will get to see more of their cousins. We are hopeful that our travels can continue in 2021. There is still a lot of world we want to see.
