We have chosen not to travel far from our temporary home in NC during COVID. We have done a few short getaways to cabins, but we are putting our big travel plans on hold, at least for the next couple of months. Being in one spot for a while, we have settled into a good routine.
Lucas and Henry loved their first week at the Montana Hybrid Academy. They are in charge of their schedules. They log in and we only see them on breaks and at the end of the day. They make their own breakfast, lunch, and snacks. They are making friends and they are enjoying their teachers.
The weather has been in the 40s here. We miss the warmer weather in Nicaragua. To make up for the cold, Michael bought a firepit for my dad’s back yard.
We have been traveling for a while and have not had to do any home projects. We were excited to get the chance to change out my dad’s kitchen sink faucet when it started leaking. It was fun to have a home project to work on.
Haircuts were another item on our agenda. We just did trims, but it was much needed. The boys were happy with the results. The last time I cut Lucas’s hair it did not turn out so well. I cut my own hair and it is not as hard as I thought it would be. YouTube is a great resource for learning how to cut hair. It also helps to have the right scissors.
