Skydiving is something Michael and I always wanted to do, but now that we have kids it is not on the top of our bucket list. Indoor skydiving is the next best thing. We have had an iFLY voucher for over two years and we finally got around to doing it. You can use the voucher at any iFLY and they have a lot of locations. We flew in Phoenix.
Lucas and Henry did iFLY with their cousins a couple of years ago. It looked like fun, so we all decided to do it. We had a shareable voucher for 10 minutes, so we split it up with Michael and I getting two minutes and Lucas and Henry getting three minutes. It does not sound like a long time, but it was long enough for me.
There is a short training video that we had to watch before we went into the tunnel. It is not terribly difficult, but it is also not so easy. In order to stay up with out moving all over, you have to keep your arms and legs out mostly straight, chin up and you have to relax. I found it hard to relax and think about all of the other things.
We all opted to do a high flight where the instructor takes you up in the tunnel. If you go to iFLY we recommend purchasing a high flight. That is what feels like what I think actual skydiving feels like.
Michael, Lucas and Henry purchased more minutes for another time. You get the best deal if you purchase more minutes right after you fly. They will each have 10 minutes next time we go. I think next time I skydive it may be the real deal.
